John Solergibert Sorni is an Economist, Member of the School of Economists of Catalonia and socially graduated.
His working experience has always been in the export business of Catalan products i.e. Industrial plastic and hotel equipment.
He has traveled throughout the five continents and has had as clients many hotel chains, chemical industries and public institutions.
He has equipped the NEW RAFFLES HOTEL in Singapore. It has 4000 beds, 11 restaurants and 76 floors. Had lunch several different times at the White House in Washington, D.C. where he met many Presidents. At the same time he sold millions of dollars worth of hotel equipment to Cuba.
Due to his profession he has met personally French Chefs such as Paul Bocuse, Pierre Orsi, Alain Sanderen and others in the United States.
He is a member of the Hogarotel Trade Fair and a Promoter of Hostelco Trade Fair from which he was Vice –President during 10 years and acting President of the Servei d’Exportacio del Equip D’Hosteleria, a division of the Cambra de Comerc, Industria I Navegacio de Barcelona.
During his trips he has written over 600 travel articles which were published by the Spanish magazines Editur, Tecno, Spic, Proa, the Epicurean letter of New York and by publishing companies in Chicago.
He has suffered two plane accidents, a strong earthquake in Southern Chile and numerous adventures in China, Singapore and other countries.
By the middle of 2008, Joan Solergibert Sorni started working for Synergies de Prensa, SL, a publishing company issuing 17 high-quality monthly magazines, for which he writes on tourism, gastronomy and hotel economics.
